Data Privacy Lawyer

<p>We are currently seeking<strong> Data Privacy Lawyers </strong>and certified privacy professionals to work with a variety of Axiom clients across industries, supporting one of the largest privacy teams in the UK on flexible in-house engagements.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide practical, business-focused advice on data protection and privacy compliance, including GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy, international data transfers, data governance, and related regulatory frameworks.</li> <li>Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements involving data protection and data-sharing provisions, including DPAs, intra-group agreements, vendor contracts, technology agreements, and data processing terms.</li> <li>Lead on key privacy deliverables, including DPIAs, LIAs, data mapping, DSAR responses, privacy notices, records of processing, and internal privacy policies and procedures.</li> <li>Support the design and implementation of privacy frameworks, data governance programmes, vendor risk processes, and compliance controls, working closely with legal, compliance, product, technology, and business teams.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Qualified lawyer in the UK or an equivalent jurisdiction, or experienced privacy professional with strong data protection, privacy, or information law experience.</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of core data protection regimes, including GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy, and broader privacy, digital, and data-related regulatory developments.</li> <li>Experience gained in private practice, in-house, consulting, or privacy advisory environments, supporting commercial, technology, data-driven, or regulated organisations.</li> <li>Solid understanding of the data lifecycle, privacy risk management, data governance, commercial privacy issues, and the ability to deliver clear, pragmatic, business-focused advice.</li> </ul> <p><strong style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span data-contrast="auto">Compensation, Benefits &amp; Location: </span></strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;" data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}">&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">This role offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace, that includes health benefits, pension and more.&nbsp; Axiomites also get access to professional development resources and learning and development programs.
